Braun began by making wheelchair lifts for full size conversion wheelchair vans, and Ability Center soon became a dealer. They still offer a nice selection of lifts, but their Rampvan and Entervan accessible van conversions have more features and better drivability than any other. These dropped floor handicap van conversions have power doors and wheelchair ramps. BraunAbility adapted vehicles can be modified with hand controls or other driving aids. Ability Center offers the Eldorado Amerivan, a sturdy and reliable wheelchair accessible van that boasts many features. All Amerivans are side-entry vans with folding ramps that have a width of 33” which can accommodate the largest of wheelchairs. The handicap conversions are done on the Dodge Grand Caravan chassis and feature removeable front seats, a stainless steel floor and a robust 7-year/70,000-mile no-rust-through warranty on its floor. The Amerivan conversion offers both a 10” floor drop and a 14” floor drop for those tall customers that require maximum headroom.
